Wonder Woman Is Certified Fresh

Early reviews are in, and it looks like Wonder Woman is not only the best film in the DC Extended Universe, it appears to be one of the best super hero films ever!

Wonder Woman currently has a 96 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with 85 reviews (82 fresh, 3 rotten) counted. This is the highest Rotten Tomatoes rating ever for any DC movie. To put things into perspective, The Dark Knight, generally accepted as one of the best superhero movies ever, and Marvel’s Iron Man, the highest rated Marvel film, both have a 94 percent rating.

While the numbers will probably change somewhat as additional reviews come in, it looks like Wonder Woman has set the bar for super hero movies. It also gives hope that DC has finally figured things out and their upcoming offerings, including Justice League, Aquaman, and The Flash, will not be horrible misfires as many are expecting.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot. It hits theaters this Friday.
