I heard this song on the radio and had to know who it was.  The artist is Brandon Flowers and this is his solo debut song called “Crossfire”.  The album isn’t out until September 4th, but in the meantime you can enjoy the music video . . . and it’s awesome.

In an odd twist, the hero is not the strong man but instead the patient woman.  At first, the song almost seems to completely contradict the setting and pacing of the video until you realize that he’s singing to a woman who is his hero for always coming back for him.  That, and it’s Charlize Freaking Theron (ninja killer).
