Well, if you look at it from a remake standpoint; the first Batman movie was a Joker movie in 1989 with Keaton and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Since the second one in that series of movies was then Batman Returns with Keaton and then Danny DeVito as the Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. It really only makes sense that the next in this series would be a Catwoman one. . .

Honestly though, if I were writing/directing/producing this new series in the Batman franchise, I would stay far, far away from everything that falls after Batman Returns. . because really, what do you have next? Batman Forever with Two-Face (who’s already made his appearance) and the Riddler? Batman and Robin? Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze? Those last two make my tummy do little vomity bat flutters.

Unlike most series that get worse and worse with new additions (like the above mentioned Batman) or *cough*Jurassic Park*cough* at this current point, I am not really worried about Batman going downhill. I really just wish that they would stay consistent with the actor to character thing. I mean, what are they going to do, keep Batman but keep flipping Rachel Dawes??

I’d have to say that for now this sounds more like a Warner Brothers wet dream, than likely casting. If Christopher Nolan has proved anything its that he will choose the actor who is best for the part, not someone who’s a big star. For one because they wouldn’t be as good, and two it’s not likely the movie really needs a big name of the marquee. It took guts for him to not only trust a relative unknown as Bruce Wayne, but to also choose more relative unknowns to be The Dark Knights villains. The previous Batman movies went down the toilet when they stopped letting creative people do what they do best, and instead tried to make the movie as Happy-Meal friendly as possible. Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy are not bad characters, in fact if handled properly they could be fantastic villains, they were just in lousy movies. Those who know me know that I don’t like Tim Burton at all, but at least he had a vision for what he wanted Batman to be, and not just as an action figure. If you hear that Angelina is going to be Catwoman, or if the other big rumor of Johnny Depp as The Riddler, you can probably bet that Nolan has lost his control over the franchise.

If you ask me, and so far no one at the WB is, I would go with Bane as the villain of the next movie. His first story when he systematically broke down Batman mentally and psychically, then finally broke his back, is one of the better Batman stories ever. Or if you really want to be gutsy they could do Frank Miller’s classic The Dark Knight Returns. Get Michael Keaton back playing a 50 year old Batman, and Dean Cain as an older Superman, get Robert Rodriguez or even Frank Miller himself to direct it, and we could have a great movie.

Ok I realize that is probably a little out there, but what the hell. This is the internet, the home of wacky theories.

I know it sounds dumb, but what about The Clock King? It’d be difficult to bring to film, but a villain who has all of Batman’s moves timed down would be pretty awesome.

It would be easy to bring him to the screen, but yeah Zuke Clock King would be dumb.

If Dark Knight taugt us nothing else, it’s that it doesn’t matter if the charecter has been done before, because it’ll be completly different/better. Aaron Eckhart’s Two Face was totally different from Tommy Lee’s. And Heath’s Joker was great, while Jack’s hasn’t really held up.

Ewww. Ugh. Blah. Gag. – I most certainly hope that Angelina Jolie Stays at her mansion and buries herself under the mountain of kids she, owns. If anything, the only villain she is fit to be is the Sewer King, simply because she has experience bossing around a group of stray kids. True, im not going to lie, there was a point when Angie was regarded the hottest woman in hollywood, and she actually looks good in that picture above(that’s what photoshop’s for) , Have any of you seen her now??? Let’s just say that after having a “litter” of like 20 kids, lets just say she doesnt exactly look the same.

I almost threw up when i saw the way she looked in one of her latest movies (“Wanted” to be exact), she now looks like a tatooed skeleton! Anemic, lunger, anorexic, and just plain disgusting are a few of many words that can describe her appearance (not to mention her evergrowing fake lips). She does not in any way whatsoever fit the description and the look of Catwoman, from not only the comics, but the cartoons and past movies as well. Besides, i can already envision how corny and pathetic her acting will make the character look. Jolie fits more the role of a whore, a slut, or a drug addict, dirty criminal, definitely not a sexy criminal. Catwoman is supposed to be a sexy and classy figure in Gotham’s High society, not a dregg from the street and most certainly she should not have the look of a drug addict the way Angelina Jolie does. It would be a turning point in the Chris Nolan / Christian Bale Batman saga, if they cast Jolie as catwoman. I most certainly will be crossing my fingers that this does not happen. As a matter of fact im hereby begging Nolan not to make that mistake, and im begging him not to let any studio influence convince him. Last time a studio forced an actor into a character’s role we got Tropher Grace’s sorry excuse for Venom in Spiderman 3.
How can i possibly be wrong about Jolie? Her own father hates her for being such a dirty prostitute homewrecker.
In regards to Ms Julie Newmar for her stupid comment, just shutup, you’re 74 yrs old, youre stuck in the past back in 1969′s original batman and you clearly dont know what the newer generation of Batman fans want to see.

Halley: If you even were remotely paying attention to “The Dark Knight” you’d have noticed that Rachel Dawes is dead and they cant flip her actor to character role again, “DUH” and besides its not really Nolan’s or any casting director’s fault that Katie Holmes’ husband(Tom Cruise) is a fanatical idiot of Scientology and fobbids her to play any roles again.

Squishy: A 50 Year old Batman? Cmon man?? Geez. Go hang out with Julie Newmar.

Zuke: Clock King is easily one of the most boring Characters in Batman history, i think mostly everyone would leave the theater precisely 21 minutes , 5 seconds and 3 tenths of a second after the film has started.

And Zohner: Listen to your wife, and stay at home for this batman if it includes Jolie as one of the main Characters. Also Kate Bekinsale i think would be a much better choice for catwoman, so props to you on that.

In my personal opinion, very little time has passed since the failure of the latest Catwoman flick starring Halle Berry, and its still way too early to bring that character back, it would only hurt the series.
In conclusion; Considering he was in only one fourth of the entire film, They should either bring back twoface ( they never physically buried him in the dark knight so its feasible), or they should bring about the riddler (not Jim Carrey).

But if they are going to do Catwoman, Not in any particular order, i’d much rather have any of these girls as catwoman:

Im not saying they’re all perfectly suited for the role, im just saying theyre better suited than Angelina Jolie
