Hitman was a horrible film. Check that. It was not good enough to be considered a film. It was a horrible something though. While I thought that Timothy Oliphant was good in HBO’s Deadwood, he was crap as Agent 47. I’m a huge fan of the games and was sorely disappointed by what the so-called film makers did to them in a failed attempt to translate the story and characters to celluloid.

As for Uwe Boll; that guy is insane. Postal was released on something like 47 screens nationwide. He said that it would beat Indiana Jones at the box office. I think that he severely overestimates himself and his fan. How this guy keeps getting movies greenlit is beyond me. Further proof that Hollywood is out of ideas.

Thanks for the Ecco the Dolphin insert Zuke, I know you did that for me :D ..|.. haha

As far as Halo goes, all I can say is that I hope Weta and Neill Blomkamp have a part in production: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugyZ3gBjiXQ

Lol, its ok that it was pulled, most of that was intended as sarcasm anyway and I never saw Hitman, didn’t even realize it came out, guess it has to be as bad as you made it out to be if it didn’t get to much publicity.

Honestly. I am not even impressed with the supposed Halo previews I’ve seen. I hope it doesn’t turn out to be some sort of documentary style film.

I think that as sad as this might be to say, Mortal Kombat is the best movie based on a game. Though I’ve seen some stuff for the upcoming Max Payne staring Mark Whalberg and it actually looks fairly promising.

In the pantheon of bad video game movies we can’t forget the oft overlooked Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. It featured Antonio Banderas, Lucy Liu and Ray “Darth Maul/Snake Eyes” Park. It was based on a Gameboy game, that was itself based on an early draft of the script.

I’m not entirely sure this qualifies, but it was such a terrible movie that it’s worth noting.

I know this was a really OLD post, but I wanted to revisit the comment Squishy made.

Ballistic was recently named the WORST movie of the DECADE by Rotten Tomatoes!
