Trekkers Rejoice (Trekkies Despair)
Since the new Star Trek launches tonight, I thought I’d open up a thread to discuss what everyone thought of it. In an effort to help people who haven’t seen it yet, I’m going to create a thread in the forums as well. If you want to talk spoilers, go to the forums. I can’t wait to see this. We will be at The Megaplex 13 at The Junction in Downtown Ogden.
We’re seeing it tomorrow morning at the Provo Towne Center Mall.
I’m a little worried with how the trailers depict Starfleet as being very “Starship Trooper”. I’m also not sure about how I feel about the bridge of the Enterprise being built by Apple.
We’re seeing the 820 show tonight, so I’ll probably put something up before sleeping tonight. If anyone is looking for a great last minute thingy to get excited check out the comic book series, Star Trek: Countdown. It’s a gour issue series, with all four having been released, that sets up the story for the new movie. No spoilers to worry about, it all takes place before the movie. I realize you’re probably not comic book buyers, and frankly neither am I, but I’m sure you can figure out a way to get it
Allow me to be the first to say, “It was fantastic”. I’ll hold off any nit picky stuff for a few days to avoid spoilers while everyone see the movie. But it was great, and I want more.
