I still have an issue with the ship being built on Earth, but that’s just me. Squishy and I were actually talking about this very film last night and our fears and expectations on it.
Some series can be rebooted and that’s all good and well (Batman is a prime example). Each generation will have it’s own version of the classic, and so the classic can have it’s origin redone a bit.
Star Trek is no such series; it has a defined beginning, and any attempt to rework that beginning gets you Star Trek Enterprise (shudder). I’m still excited, but cautiously so.
And special apologies to SonofOma . . . this had been waiting for my approval for a week now. I’m not used to seeing posts that need approval and I went right over it until today.
