Who doesn’t love Disney’s DuckTales? Maybe terrorists? Maybe? Seriously though, everyone loves the show that an entire generation of kids watched daily after school and before they did their homework. Probably.

When it was announced that Disney was bringing DuckTales back to the small screen, those kids, who are now adults, gave a collective shout for joy and anxiously awaited any new news regarding the series. Thankfully, we now have a release date. We also have a look at the opening sequence and updated version of the theme song.

We now know that DuckTales will premiere in a one-hour television movie, titled “Woo-oo!,” that will air for 24 consecutive hours on Saturday August 12, 2017 (beginning at midnight, EDT/PDT) on Disney XD. The series will then debut with two new episodes on Saturday September 23 airing at 7:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 10:30 p.m., EDT/PDT. They will also be available on the Disney XD app and Disney XD VOD on these same dates.

EW is also reporting that Disney has also announced an avatar creation app that will launch in July, an Angry Birds cameo featuring Donald Duck in August, and a number of comic and book titles that will start hitting shelves in July and go well into 2018.

Based on the Emmy Award-winning series treasured by a generation of viewers, Disney XD’s animated comedy-adventure series DuckTales chronicles the high-flying adventures of Duckburg’s most famous trillionaire Scrooge McDuck, his mischief-making triplet grandnephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, temperamental nephew Donald Duck and the trusted McDuck Manor team: big-hearted, fearless chauffer/pilot Launchpad McQuack, no-nonsense housekeeper Mrs. Beakley and Mrs. Beakley’s granddaughter, Webby Vanderquack, resident adventurer and the triplet’s newfound fierce friend.

DuckTales features the voice talents of David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye, Tony Anselmo, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Allison Janney, Margo Martindale, Paul F. Tompkins, Kimiko Glenn, Jim Rash, Josh Brener, Keith Ferguson, Eric Bauza, and Corey Burton.
