DC Comics has payed tribute to Adam West by publishing a two-page spread appearing in all titles released this week. The actor, who starred as Bruce Wayne/Batman on the 1966 Batman TV series passed away June 9 at age 88.

The image depicts West in his classic costume, accompanied by one of his most iconic quotes:

“I never had to say I’m Batman. I showed up. People knew I was Batman.”

Beneath that, DC includes the following:

“Thanks for being our first real hero, old chum…”

And thanks for being one of my first real heroes, old chum. You are missed.
