David Tennant Returns for Jessica Jones Season 2

What’s the saying? “The only people who stay dead in comics are Bucky, Jason Todd, and Uncle Ben.” Of course, after the former two were brought back in 2005 as the Winter Soldier and the Red Hood, it looks like the only person that the grave has power over in comic books these days is Uncle Ben.

Unsurprisingly, this premise seems to be bleeding over into Marvel’s Netflix series Jessica Jones. At the end of the first season, we saw Jessica snap the neck of David Tennant’s Kilgrave. Generally speaking, he was left for dead. But just like in the comics, it looks like the grave couldn’t hold him for long.

EW is reporting that David Tennant will be back for season 2 of the popular Netflix series. They indicated that Marvel is keeping specific details of his involvement under wraps, but they did share the first photo of Tennant in Kilgrave’s trademark purple suit on set with Jessica Jones co-star, Krysten Ritter.

Based on the Marvel Comics character created in 2001 by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter as the super-powered private investigator and will return to Netflix early next year.

If you can’t wait until 2018 to get your Jessica Jones fix, Ritter will reprising her role in Marvel’s The Defenders which hits Netflix on Friday.
