It looks like Bungie has started a new trend and Activision is getting in on the action. Earlier this week Activision announced that it too will be giving away a free upgrade to those who purchase Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare as a digital copy, allowing those who currently have a PS3 or XBOX 360 to be able to keep the game without repurchasing it when they upgrade to the PS4 or XBOX ONE. It should be noted that a PS3 user cannot use the upgrade when the gamer purchases an XBOX ONE, it is strictly bound to that console type. This offer only lasts til March 31, 2015.
Don’t worry about losing any of your progress, multiplayer stats, gear, purchased downloadable content (DLC), or season pass when upgrading to your Next-Gen console because all of this will transfer at no cost to you!
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches November 4, 2014, but don’t think that doesn’t mean you can’t play it a day earlier. Activision will be releasing a version called of the game called Day Zero which allows players who purchased the physical or digital copy to play starting November 3 and will receive two exclusive weapons (AK-12G Assault Rifle and Crossbow-B2), plus Double XP for the Day Zero launch.
