Below is the leaked footage from Comic Con of the upcoming Thor movie. I’m not a big fan of Thor but I was planning on seeing the film when it’s released next summer. After seeing the footage though, I don’t know that I can wait that long. Hurry and watch before it gets taken down.

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend San Diego Comic Con this year. Or any previous year for that matter. This is something that I hope to remedy sometime in the future but by then I’ll probably be in my forties and be called by guys in the comic book store Captain Sweatpants. Or Captain Sweat Stains… I’m not sure which…

Anyways, being the geek that I am, I have been valiantly trying to catch up on all of the news that has been leaking out over the past week. Last week I started hearing rumblings about Ryan Reynolds reciting the Green Lantern oath for a little kid but I just finally found some footage of it. If it doesn’t put a smile on your face, then you have a heart of pure darkness. I can only imagine the joy that this kid must have felt. Of course, I’m a bit biased since I’m a Green Lantern fan and can’t hardly wait for the movie to come out.

This isn’t exactly new, but it’s still awesome. It’s beyond awesome. It’s awesomesauce.

This poster (available in black or white) has 149 different science fiction characters on it in some form or another. They might be from TV, movies, comics, video games, whatever. All I know is I’ve spent the last hour going through each one and trying to identify them all. I want the door to my office covered with this poster!

New Tron Trailer Excites Me More Than It Should

For those unfamiliar with Tron (I actually know a few of them), this just looks like another run-of-the-mill movie trailer. For those of us in know, however, this is something much more. Much, much more. Considering that the original Tron helped set the bar for all science fiction movies since, it’s good to know Disney can make its sequel just as mindblowing 28 years later!

Hope for The Old Republic?

I’m still not sure what to think about the upcoming Star Wars game, The Old Republic, but the following trailer at least gives me the hope that it’s going to be a good thing.

You know what, LucasArts? Forget this game, ditch The Clone Wars show and The Force Unleashed… and make a movie like this trailer. I’d watch it.
