Yesterday morning KFaceTV, a local YouTube channel based here in Utah released their new hit video “Dark Lord Funk” a Harry Potter parody of “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars. The video in less than one day has made it onto several national websites including MTV, BuzzFeedCosmopolitan, and is currently in the top 10 trending topics on Facebook and moving it’s way up on Twitter with #darklordfunk.

Keith Allen (writer, director, and producer) and the crew of KFaceTV just brought the funk back and with Lord Voldemort bringing down the beat it’s going to be hard for the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry to compete, especially with lines such as “Saturday night and we takin Hogwarts Don’t believe me, just watch!”, they better watch out.

The production was under the creative mind and direction of Keith Allen who played Harry Potter. The amazing vocals of Lord Voldemort from Elijah Thomas The filmmaker and music producer who brought funk to the next level, Marcus Joseph. The co-producer and production designer Andrew Carver who brought the perfect feel to the production.  You’ll also spot another local YouTube star who’s in this funky video portraying Ronald Wesley, Stuart Edge who ends up busting some moves of his own. This not including the amazing cosplay community within Utah which was gathered together via social media to help participate.

This isn’t KFaceTV’s first viral video either, last year they released “Talk Nerdy To Me” which is close to reaching 2 million views! You can also take a look at several other parody videos such as “Zelda Jiggle” and “Tribute” (a hunger games parody). We personally can’t wait to see what’s next on KFaceTV’s plate. If one thing’s for sure, you can’t resist The Dark Lord’s Funk.
