For those of you who can’t wait for Google to release Android L, you are not alone. In fact, I’m starting to go crazy while I wait for it to show up on my Nexus 5 and my Nexus 7. Sadly, I know that even after it’s released, it will possibly still be a few days, if not weeks before my devices get to taste of that new L goodness. Well, that’s if I wait for the OTA update. Thankfully, there’s always side loading.

Anyways, as if to only make my torment more… tormenting, Google has released a short video teasing the name of the heretofore unnamed Android L. Will it be Lemon Meringue Pie as many have speculated? What about Licorice or Lollipop? Lava Cake? Mmm… lava cake… Has anyone considered Lady Finger? Hadn’t considered that one but I’m not even sure what a “lady finger” is. I’m guessing it’s got something to do with beautiful hands, but I could be wrong.

All that being said, it looks like we will be getting our answers tomorrow when the Nexus 9 and Android L are released. According to Forbes, “a source close to Google” has confirmed that the Nexus 9 running  Android L will be announced tomorrow via a blog post. Originally Google had planned to hold an official event, but decided against a ‘big reveal’ since they were still fine tuning Android L. Of course, Google could just skip the Nexus 9 and jump straight to the Nexus 10, but they’ve already released a Nexus 10 and skipping numbers is more of a Microsoft thing…

Should the rumors and the teasing prove true, I guess we’ll get all of our answers, and hopefully a new version of Android sometime tomorrow. If not, then I’ll continue to wait and hope for an official build to “leak” into the wild.
